SOME RANDOM RIPS

The first song is from I believe 1979 and is by Lakeside, a group on the SOLAR
label. One of my favorite record labels, although their best stuff wouldn't take place until a couple years after this record. This is feel good disco: When's the party going down??? 9:00 until ???. Basically this is the audio version of every flyer I've done...

The next two songs are by Sylvia Robinson, the same Sylvia who did "Love is Strange" as Mickey & Sylvia 10 or 20 years prior to the release of this record. She's also the Sylvia Robinson who ran Sugarhill Records and released Rapper's Delight a year after this record. Anyway this record is a cover of Dee Dee Jackson's hit of the same name. It sounds pretty similar to the original except this one is a little more robotic and sounds even more like Donna Summer's "I Feel Love." The next song "Stop Boy" is pretty weird- Tell me what you think. Recording this 12 inch was so nice, it's nice and loud and in great shape. Records really make me loathe Serato sometimes...

Finally, we have the goofy song Spring Again by Biz Markie (hey, I'm thinking ahead)... Have fun.
