LOVE CHANGES

I've been geeking out on the 80's rnb tip lately... I found out that the Sequence's version of the song "Love Changes"
isn't the original version or even the most popular. The 70's band Mother's Finest was the first group to do it and Kashif with Meli'sa Morgan had the most chart success with it. Someone wrote on youtube that the Mother's Finest version has the best instrumentation, The Sequence has the best vocals and the Kashif is the most radio friendly and I think that says it all. The Sequence is still my favorite...

A little background: Mother's Finest was a 70's rock/funk group. The Sequence is an early 80's rap/rnb girl group. Angie Stone was one of the members and I think their best know song is "Funk You Right On Up" which is a long disco rap number. Kashif has a bunch of great songs, but was most successful as a producer. He produced and wrote "Love Come Down" and "I'm in Love" for Evelyn Champagne King, and a few early hits for Whitney Houston most notably. On this song he enlisted Meli'sa Morgan, best known for her song "Fools Paradise" which was resung by Mary J Blige for "Can't Knock the Hustle" by Jay-Z. By the way, before Serato "Fools Paradise" was so annoying to mix because it doesn't start on the 1. Now you can just drop it and match it up to the little lines...
